Where the mountains meet the sea
Is nothing more alluring than walking in the sun-soaked mountains, with the warm scent of pine trees floating in the air and the blue shimmering Mediterranean Sea as a backdrop?
This weekend getaway is centred around the picturesque and historic fishing town of Nerja. You'll be able to explore the stunning natural beauty of the Sierra de Almijara and Maro/Cerro Gordo Natural parks while walking amidst the mountains that abruptly end in the inviting blue sea. In addition to the exceptional landscapes, you'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the charming villages, towns, and coastal areas nestled within this idyllic setting.
This weekend, we will walk along the coastal path between the Moorish and Christian coastal watchtowers, visit the Cruz de Pinto shrine, which overlooks the town of Nerja, and then journey into the mountains to enjoy the stunning views along the coastline. It's going to be a weekend full of unforgettable memories.
How difficult?
If you enjoy walking regularly, you will find these walks to be easy to moderate, with some small sections that may be steep or have rough terrain.
Our daily walks typically range between 10 and 15 kilometres, with an ascent of approximately 450 to 700 meters.
